PUSAT LATIHAN PELAUT DAGANG (M) SDN BHD (PLPD) is a dynamic organization that embarks upon training, education and consultancy services in Maritime; Occupational Safety & Health; and Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals.

 

It is inspired by a group of determined and innovative professionals with wide ranging exposures and capabilities.  PLPD, established in 2002, has offered a combination of essential programs to a number of the nation’s key industries sub-sectors, which includes shipping, supply base, ports and terminals, shipyards, power generation, petroleum refining, and gas processing.

From a humble beginning, PLPD has evolved into dynamic learning organization committed to excellence in all its business activities.  PLPD is an approved centre of learning by the Ministry of Transport, Malaysia for providing Maritime Education and Training courses under the Standards of Training, Certification and Watch keeping for seafarers 1995 (STCW 95) which is under the jurisdiction of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

 

 Also, PLPD has obtained its MS ISO 9001-2000 certification in August 2004 in quality management System and this quality Management System had been upgrade to MS ISO 9001:2015 in May 2019.

OBJECTIVE

The primary objective of setting up Pusat Latihan Pelaut Dagang (M) Sdn Bhd in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah is as follows:

​

i. To conduct professional courses in the field of Maritime, Occupational Safety & Health & Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals.

 

ii. To prepare highly motivated and trained work force that can be accepted by the world community.

 

iii. To be the premier Maritime, Safety & Health and Oil, Gas & Petrochemicals training provider in Sabah.
